Life update
Dating relationships are meant for evaluation 📑:
Are we going to work well as lifetime partners in marriage, to the glory of God? 🤞🏽Results of our evaluation:
In light of our circumstances, it seems wiser to stay apart 👌🏽Hence, Christa and I aren't pursuing marriage anymore - we broke up. 💔
By God's grace, we've both been used by God to edify each other. ✨
Together, we've learnt more about the Lord, ourselves and the world. 📝
I remain grateful to God that He made our paths cross and blessed us with the season we spent together. 🙌🏽
Now, this happened in December but we didn't want to attract much attention until we've had some time to ourselves. ⏱️
On to more recent updates...
This season has been one of intense humbling 🤠 and significant encouragement for me. ✨ With most Bible teachings and messages I recently went through, it felt like the Lord was taking me on a tour of my past and telling me
Do you now see what you did there? 🌚 At other times, it felt like He was confirming something I wasn't sure of, perhaps because of weird experiences 🤔.
Indeed, God's word is profitable to His people, even for correction and training in righteousness. ✨
Ministry update
Remember when I talked about a harder part, in relation to the church finder feature? 🤠
Well, in God's providence, He allowed me to come across a good church directory I could use. It lists out reformed churches around the world, and I even found my church on it 🥳.
This directory is maintained by Michael from ReformedWiki who graciously allowed me to link directly to it from Whatchu Believe ✨.
With his permission, I helped to improve the user experience of the project, especially on mobile devices 🎉.

I spent a good part of the month working on feedback and improvement for Whatchu Believe ✨. The bug I mentioned in the last issue 🐞 has also been resolved! 🎉
I also extracted the app content into a format that makes it easy to review and I have shared it with a few people for feedback. 📜
From what I gather, the review may not be done till some time in May. 🗓️
However, I will keep us updated on the state of things as they progress. 👌🏽

Lord-willing, I will be sharing the launch date for Whatchu Believe right after content is cleared for usage. 👌🏽
Changed Lives
Part of the humbling I referred to earlier was realising that parts of my duties and devotions were more mechanical than stemming from a place of love. 😬
The solution to the issue above was clearly not "do more" 😅.
That's a heart issue. 💔
It's so humbling to be shown that something is off, and you can't do much about it. 🤠
I wish I could tell you this happened for just a day or a few - nah, it took weeks of being convicted and not being able to do anything about it 😭.
At some point, I exclaimed in desperation
If the Lord does not help a man, he is in trouble.
Please help me, Lord 🤲🏽.Well, God doesn't forsake His people, though He may be silent for a season. ✨
I shared my desperation with a friend and accountability partner, and he reminded me about this hymn:
...for my love is often cold,
He must hold me fast ✊🏽Oh, the joy that filled me to be reminded that I'm bound to get cold sometimes and my only hope is in Christ, whose grip is more than sufficient to keep me 🙌🏽✨

The Lord will provide volunteers to engage skeptical users. 👬🏽
Whatchu Believe will be used as a vessel in God’s hands for salvation and building up his people. ⛴️
Intercession: Please pray:
that we will have more solid churches planted in our local areas and worldwide 💒, so that more people are being effectively discipled in preparation for our King’s return. 👑
for our brothers caught in the crossfires of the ongoing war 💣, that their faith may abound even more in this season 💪🏽 and they may be used to by God to share the message of peace and hope in Christ to an anxious nation 🤲🏽.

Something to think about
My accountability partner told me earlier this month that he's trusting God to help him be a better partner this year.
A reflex "wow" escaped my mouth 😯 - what a noble desire!
What intentionality?!
Of course, this got me thinking, and I'll love for you to consider with me:
Do I have people around me who are committed to walking with me on this journey? 👬🏽 👭🏽
If not, please pray about it and look around for potential partners 🤲🏽
Do these people know me KNOW ME? 🫣
Do I meet them regularly? 🗓️
I've found that our tendency when things are off is usually to isolate ourselves. Having a rhythm guards against such isolation
Do I share even the dark, scary and ugly parts of me 🧟🧌 with these people, or just the "good" stuff 👼🏽?
Do I know how they are doing in this season? 🤔
When was the last time I
prayed for them? 🧎🏽
reached out to them? 💁🏽♂️
There's a lot of beauty in God's design of partnership and fellowship in God's family ✨ I benefit from it a lot, and I hope we are also sharing our lives with God's people so that we can minister to and be ministered to by others as well. 🤞🏽
